Our massage therapists undertake a comprehensive history and assessment to establish a tailored treatment plan that achieves your health goals. We have a qualified remedial massage team and do treatments as part of a care plan. Remedial massage therapy is classed as an Alied Health Service when performed by qualified practitioners such as the practitioners in the clinic and this service is permitted to continue during the lockdown.

Remedial massage

Remedial massage is a symptomatic assessment of muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management.

Myofascial cupping therapy

Cupping is a technique in which localised suction on the skin is used to affect the deeper muscles, break up scar tissue or adhesion in muscles and connective tissue.

Pregnancy massage

Pregnancy massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints.

Massage is a popular choice during pregnancy when pain relief options, such as medication, are often limited.

Lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic technique that cleanses the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins, enhances the activity of the immune system, and reduces pain. This is done through the lymphatic system and lymph nodes of the body.

Myofascial dry needling

Dry needling works by relaxing muscle fibres, reducing pain and restoring normal function.

The technique can improve joint mobility, restore muscle strength, reduce muscle pain and even reduce inflamed soft tissues following acute injuries.  It can also help assist with low back pain, neck pain, tension headaches, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, golfers elbow, tennis elbow, knee pain, ankle sprains, post exercise muscle soreness, plantar fasciitis, muscle tension/strains and joint stiffness.

Kinesio taping

Kinesio Taping is an elastic therapeutic taping method that aids injury prevention, rehabilitation and a range of clinical conditions. It can assist with normal circulation/ lymphatic flow, decreases pain, improved muscle function and movement of fascial tissue and can improve joint function. Kinesio tape is used as an adjunct to other massage treatments.

Relaxation massage

Relaxation massage can reduce stress by lowering your heart rate and blood pressure, relaxing your muscles and increasing the production of endorphins which promotes health and wellbeing. Relax massage can also promote the release of pain reducing chemicals, increase blood flow to joints and muscles and reduce inflammation. These can reduce pain in a specific area or throughout the whole body.

Myofascial release

Myofascial release uses gentle sustained pressure to release restrictions in the connective tissues (fascia) that impair movement. This continuous tissue connects every muscle, tendon, ligament, bone and organ in the body.

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage treats deeper layers of muscles, nerves and major vessels which have been constricted. The technique can assist a more rapid healing process within the body.

Sports massage

Sports massage can improve performance and minimise injuries before, during or after an event. This type of massage can improve flexibility and range of movement, as well as reduce muscle cramps and spasms, trigger points and fascial adhesion during the healing cycle.
